The Republic of Shunt.
The Boarder Crossing. by Christopher Sims Jack Stigner and William Eden
A Boarder town on the edge of 2 repressed and brutal countries holding a ground where all those unable to register for work, find employment, have lost any last shred of acceptable behavior and hope in a lost town.

The military so corrupt that the whole area is full of whores beggars pimps and chancres praying on those stupid enough to venture by land to the Republic.

The lives of those with no choice but to stay entangled in the fabric of the derelict decaying filth where there never seems to be day, and the only light comes from the fires burning in the streets and dimly lit brothels and military post.

Surrounded by dark damp and dingy buildings, the narrow alleys and streets where you will find the lawless law giving no hope to those with no choice but to stay.

The line between the military presence the pimps and whores seem to grow very thiner, with only the uniform of each distinguishing them apart.

More often than not you would stand a better chance trusting the illegals than the law.

A town so unique, so awful that the next time you ever enter a place like this in you life, the world will be in a very bad state. There is no way you would be able to pass through with out attracting attention, getting harassed or getting arrested for no reason but being there.

A installation show supported and commissioned by SHUNT and Heather Uprichard from a concept by Christopher Sims, Jack Stigner and William Edan.
